National or Local Restriction Support Grants

The Government announced there would be further funding to support businesses that are legally required to close or that are affected by national or local restrictions being put in place to manage coronavirus and save lives. National or local restrictions refer to legally binding restrictions imposed on all Local Authority areas in England in response to the threat posed by covid-19. Businesses will not be eligible for multiple versions of the Restrictions Support Grants under national or local restrictions. There are currently National and local schemes which a business can apply for on this form. The schemes available are National restrictions for 5 November 2020 to 1 December 2020, tier 4 from 26 December 2020 to 4 January 2021 and National restrictions from 5 January 2021 to 31 March 2021 (LRSGA) which is for business rates payers. In addition the ARG discretionary grant (for National restrictions and Tier 4 only) for non-business rates payers. The ARG scheme is only open for a limited period please see website for details. How much funding will be provided?

For those businesses with a business rates account the amount of the funding is based on the property rateable value. The thresholds that apply are stated on the website for each separate grant. The grants range from £467 to £1,500 every 14 days. ARG (National lockdown and tier 4 only) For those businesses with or without a business rates account that are mandated to close by Government or have been severely impacted by the national restrictions the thresholds and amount of the funding is shown in the policy . The grants range from £1334 to £3000. These are a one off payment. Please note this scheme only runs for limited periods.

Businesses must complete this application form and supply information needed to enable the council to pay the grant.
